William Hill has finally made its debut in the state of Illinois through the launch of a retail sportsbook at the Grand Victoria Casino Elgin in the greater Chicago area. This is the first sportsbook that the gaming operator is launching in the state. It also marks a landmark move as part of its long-term relationship with the former Eldorado Resorts which recently completed a merger to form Caesars Entertainment Inc.

As expected, William Hill has brought its A-game into the Illinois sports betting scene and this can be easily seen from all of the great offerings that the operator has in store for its customers. To begin with, the sportsbook features a total of three full-service ticket windows that, for now, will be open from 10 am to 10 pm on each day of the week.

The sportsbook offers, among other things, a number of high definition television screens, high-top tables as well as comfortable seating. The television screens display the most popular sports in order to give the players a peek at all the action that they will be able to bet on.

To top it all off, for those patrons who are in search of an integrated gambling and entertainment experience, they will be able to dive into all that action. This is because the newly-unveiled sportsbook is located just adjacent to the casino’s existing table games and slot machines. The bar is also close by to give the customers an even more complete experience.

First-Ever Sportsbook Inside an Arena in the United States

As it turns out, Illinois was the only state that was on William Hill’s sights. The gambling operator has also made history yet again by launching a temporary sportsbook at the Capital One Arena. This is not only the first sportsbook to go live in the state but also the very first one in the United States to launch inside an arena.

“Washington, D.C. is known for its dedicated sports fans, and we’re excited to finally bring them a new way to engage with their favorite teams.”

William Hill US CEO Joe Asher.

This has set the pace for the construction of a permanent sportsbook inside the Arena. The permanent sports betting facility will not only include a sports betting space but also feature a restaurant as well as a bar. Joe Asher has affirmed that his team is working really hard to ensure that its vision for a grand Washington-based sports betting offering comes to life.

For sports bettors in Washington, the sportsbook is now open each and every day of the week from 11 am to 11 pm.
