Las Vegas is a place where jackpots are hit and dished out at heady rates. The Hawaiian who flew into Nevada on St Patrick’s Day spent less than 5 minutes playing Monopoly Millionaire to win the over $1 million jackpot.

From Hawaii to Nevada for the Jackpot

A Hawaiian tourist came to Las Vegas, Nevada for St Patrick’s Day. What happened five minutes after he had started playing Monopoly Millionaire wasn’t exactly planned. The unnamed individual hit the jackpot worth over $1 million.

The news was quickly picked up by various social media after Plaza Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas hurried up to share the latest winner on social media. Facebook and Twitter users cheered – it was a holiday after all.

Many took turns to crack jokes about the achievement and quite a few people reshared the news as if to continue the good vibe occasioned by St Patrick’s Day, an Irish holiday that has slowly been eating its way into the mainstream.

The United States is not the sole country to now pay attention to St Patrick’s Day, but for Las Vegas, this holiday is an opportunity to really get customers worked up and ready to play.

Caesars Las Vegas pulled off quite the little show with Leprechauns and tall ladies all over Las Vegas and at the casino. It was what Hemingway would have called “a moveable feast”.

The good vibes have certainly caught on with the victory of the unnamed Hawaiian. Well, he did drop by the Plaza Hotel and Casino where nobody betrayed the festivities, but the mood was quickly livened up to the atmosphere.

Las Vegas Jackpots Are Quite Common

Hawaiians have been known to bag quite a bit of the big pot in recent months. In August, 2016, a woman who was also just visiting hit $10.7 million in Las Vegas, marking another significant jackpot going the way of Hawaii.

Well, the unnamed individual did get $1,029,529.13, but that was quite the bargain providing that he had spent less than five minutes playing before the jackpot landed and social media started to slowly react to the news.

St Patrick’s Day has most certainly been a great draw for people who just want to kickback in Las Vegas and enjoy spending a few hundred dollars. Most successful gamers have been playing on a budget or they have been randomly lucky.

Whether these Hawaiian dogs had known what was waiting for them in Las Vegas is a mystery. The act remains that they have been able to land quite the profit at little expense.
