Here are the basics of the deal; Penn National has purchased Pinnacle Entertainment for a total of $2.8 billion in a combination of stocks and actual cash transactions, and while each company’s board of directors has approved the transaction, the whole thing should be finalized by the end of 2018, possibly even earlier.

The CEO of Penn National has been thought to say something along the lines of ‘”The Game is on/” when asked about the new merger and thus far, we wholeheartedly agree with him. An entry for Penn National into the world of online gaming will not only make the online gaming industry seem more legitimate and reachable to many a player, it will also vastly increase the accessibility of online gaming to all kinds of players from all different kinds of backgrounds. Thus leading to a much more even and diverse range of players participating within the online poker championships at the end of the year.
