MGM Resorts Expands Global iGaming Reach with “Live from Vegas” and BetBlocker Partnership
MGM Resorts International is making a bold move to further extend the online gaming experience with its innovative live dealer platform, “Live from Vegas,” designed to stream real-time casino action directly from its Las Vegas properties to players around the world.
Launched earlier this year, the platform connects users from markets including the U.K., Canada, Brazil, and Mexico, offering live sessions of blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and an interactive, betting-style version of “Family Feud.” The format blends digital gaming convenience with the sensory atmosphere of a physical casino. It also comes complete with professional dealers, interactive chat, and the bustle of Las Vegas visible in the background.
The round-the-clock operation is powered by 90 dedicated dealers who complete several weeks of hands-on training to ensure gameplay quality and consistency. Each dealer performs under a stage name for privacy and performance flair, maintaining the high entertainment standards associated with MGM’s brand. While current U.S. regulations prevent domestic access, MGM has indicated optimism that “Live from Vegas” could eventually become available to American players as the online gaming landscape evolves.
Its Continued Push for Safer Gambling
Adding to this digital expansion, MGM Resorts recently reinforced its responsible gambling strategy through a partnership with BetBlocker, a non-profit provider of free gambling-blocking software. The collaboration adds BetBlocker to MGM’s Responsible Gambling webpage alongside tools and resources that help players set deposit limits, manage time, and recognize signs of gambling harm. BetBlocker is also available on BetMGM’s website alongside Gamban, giving players multiple self-exclusion and blocking options across all major operating systems, including iOS, Android, Windows, and Linux.
The partnership complements MGM’s long-standing GameSense program, which trains staff to identify and support at-risk players. Together, these initiatives reflect MGM’s broader effort to make responsible gaming tools more visible, accessible, and stigma-free. This is great for ensuring player well-being remains central to the company’s global gaming strategy.
The move comes as MGM prepares for one of Las Vegas’s most anticipated events (the Formula 1 Grand Prix scheduled for November 20–23) with a lineup of F1-themed fan zones and entertainment activations across its properties. Industry analysts note that MGM’s timing underscores a growing trend among major operators: integrating live digital content, branded events, and social responsibility to strengthen player engagement and brand loyalty in an increasingly competitive iGaming market.
