ESPN Launches Sports Betting-Themed Studio in Las Vegas

On Monday, ESPN and Caesars Entertainment launched their new studio at the Caesars’ LINQ Hotel + Experience property in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The launch of the new state-of-the-art studio began with produced segments of SportsCenter and digital platforms. That is just the beginning though – ESPN has pretty huge plans to gradually expand the content that will be produced in the studio.

The company has been working very hard to capitalizes on the financial boon that came up due to the expansion of sports betting in the United States. And it is not the only sports media company that has had its eye on the market. However, given its already strong brand name and stellar reputation, it definitely has an edge over its competition.

With all the experience and expertise it has in the sports sector, the company was able to draw up a strategic plan which the new studio is a part of. This easily shows from the location of the studio and the partnerships that the company has.

In addition to utilizing the latest state-of-the-art 4K-capable technology, ESPN will also be leveraging their innovative REMI production model to serve the growing demand for top-notch sports betting services. REMI is a special workflow that will be supporting the operation of the site since it does have an accompanying control room on the site. This has it possible to have a total of 24 transmit and receive paths to the company’s control rooms and technical operation across the United States.

Daily Wager Moving to New Studio

For fans of Daily Wager, ESPN’s flagship sports betting show, all the production will be moving to the new LINQ studio. For this, the sports media company has signed Doug Kezirian a renowned sports betting analyst for a new multiyear contract.

There are also plans for a different sports betting-themed digital show and all of it will be produced from the new studio. ESPN is certainly not leaving any stone unturned when it comes to catering to the growing appetite for sports betting services.

“Our new studio will not only operate as the headquarters for that content, but it will also anchor our year-round presence in Las Vegas – a city that has become a destination for the biggest events in sports.”

ESPN’s EVP of Content Connor Schell.

This move is certainly a huge deal for sports betting in the United States. Despite the chaos that was caused by the coronavirus pandemic, there are huge hopes when it comes to the resurgence of the sector and we cannot wait to see how it all turns out.
