Kansas Betting Market Shows Strong Growth

bet365 enters Kansas at a time when the state’s sports betting industry is seeing notable gains. According to the Kansas Lottery, total wagers from both mobile and retail platforms in June reached $185.2 million. This was a 32.2 percent jump compared to the $140.1 million recorded in June 2024.

Revenue growth was even more impressive, surging 84.2 percent year-on-year from $9.4 million to $17.2 million. With Kansas applying a 10 percent tax rate, tax revenue also climbed 84.2 percent to $1.7 million over the same period.

Month-on-month figures told a different story, with June’s combined handle down 7.2 percent from May’s $199.7 million. Revenue slipped nine percent from $19 million, and tax collections mirrored that drop, also falling to $1.7 million.

Online betting continues to dominate the market. Of June’s total wagers, $181.7 million came from online platforms, generating $16.9 million in revenue.
