Oregon\u2019s Ducks have their first fixture under a new coach this Saturday, where they take on the Boise State Broncos. Willie Taggert \u2013 the previous coach, who left earlier this year to join the Florida State Seminoles \u2013 has left the team surprisingly optimistic, and this is perhaps due to the fact that their new coach is none other than internal coordinator Mario Cristobal. In fact, public opinion \u2013 as well as that of the bookies \u2013 is showing the Ducks as having a 7.5-point lead over the Broncos, betting-wise\u2026<\/p>\n

Although we\u2019re sure it will be an entertaining match, nonetheless!<\/p>\n

Boise State shouldn\u2019t be ruled out, however, and they recently were crowned champions of the Mountain West Conference Champions, where they took on the Fresno State Bulldogs \u2013 and won, 17-14 \u2013 earlier in the season.<\/p>\n

The team is led by quarterback Brett Rypien, and an impressive 11-2 record over their last 13 games in December shows that despite a very regular number of game fixtures, the team can still perform under pressure \u2013 and at the time of writing, it doesn\u2019t appear that any major injuries have been reported with any of the players \u2013 something their coach, and owner will be incredibly happy to hear.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ll need to bring their absolute best if they want to have a chance of defeating the Oregon Ducks \u2013 who, themselves, also have an impressive December scorecard, coming in at 7-0. Their last game took place against the Oregon State Beavers, and the ducks ended up going 4-5 in the Pac-12, and managed to cover all three of the four, down the stretch.<\/p>\n

This gives you an indication of the type of game they\u2019re playing right now \u2013 and the Broncos will do have to pull out all the stops if they want a chance of winning.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s likely we\u2019ll see both teams\u2019 take an offensive approach at the beginning of the game \u2013 whether this continues throughout the remaining quarters or not remains to be seen, but will more than likely come down to how the coaches\u2019 perceive the gameplay.<\/p>\n

The Ducks may end up sitting back, attempting to tire their opponents \u2013 and under a new coach, it\u2019s somewhat of an unpredictable time, as no one really knows what strategy they\u2019ll head onto the field with!<\/p>\n
